Richard O. Hale, IV, is a founding partner of Hale, Hale & Jacobson, P.A., and has been a practicing member of the Florida Bar since 2002. Richard has dedicated his legal career to fighting for the rights of Florida’s consumers. His practice is devoted to litigating insurance claims on behalf of homeowners, professionals, and commercial clients, in cases where insurance coverage is in dispute or claims have been denied or unpaid. In addition, Richard handles cases involving personal injury and wrongful death. He also represents independent glass shop owners involved in litigation over insurance benefits.

A native of the Florida Keys, Richard grew up in a small, tight-knit community, where he learned that the success of any business is tied to those personal relationships that are built and maintained. He attended Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina, where he worked hard on his academics as a member of the Davidson Wildcats Football team.   After receiving his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Davidson, Richard returned to Florida, where he attended Stetson University College of Law. While attending Stetson, Richard was President of the Honor Court and worked at the State Attorney’s Office as a Certified Legal Intern.

After obtaining his Juris Doctorate from Stetson, Richard began working in the field of insurance defense. Over many years, he honed his litigation skills and ultimately, decided to focus his career on representing the people of Central Florida, and fighting for their rights. In 2009, Richard joined his wife Maria and opened Hale & Hale, P.A. During his tenure, he has been recognized several times by Florida’s Legal Elite and serves on various Boards in the community, including the Lake Nona YMCA and The Christ School.

Richard is an active member of the Spring of Life Methodist Church congregation. He is married to the love of his life, Maria, and together, they have two beautiful girls: Melaina and Carrington. The Hale family loves to travel and Richard enjoys spending his free time at the beach and taking in all the excitement Central Florida has to offer.
